My wife and I have been married for 29 years. We have been blessed with 12 children.
Deb works with Sixpence and focuses on supporting selected school districts across Nebraska that are Sixpence Childcare Partnership Communities. Deb has spent the last 28 years in Early Childhood Education. Deb graduated from Doane University with a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership. Her bachelor's degree is in elementary education from Nebraska Wesleyan, and she later earned her Early Childhood Endorsement from Peru State College. Deb is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Leadership from Doane University.
We have four children, Kade, Allyson, Madison, and Weston.
- Kade was called home to Jesus on November 13, 2021. He is greatly missed, and we look forward to reuniting with him in Heaven.
- Allyson Warner lives in Auburn with her husband, Tyler. They have a daughter, Ginny Kade, and a son, Kal Wayne.
- Madison lives with her partner, Tyler, and works at Falls City Public Schools' Sixpence Program. She has a son, Jeter.
- Weston is a senior at Midland University pursuing a degree in elementary education. He is married to Frankie, who is an elementary teacher at Arlington Public Schools.
Deb and I had not thought of being foster parents until a mother of one of her preschool students asked us to care for her 2 daughters while she got back on her feet. This short team voluntary placement turned into a longer official placement when the state removed the children from her care. Eventually these two children were permanently placed with a step-grandmother. The experience was so fulfilling for our family that we decided to become an official foster home through Cedars Home for Children.
Since becoming licensed we have had been home to several children. We eventually adopted 8 children through foster care.
- Dakota lives in Omaha and works at Walmart
- Denise is post-high school senior at the ESU4 job skills program
- Skylar is a senior at Auburn High School
- Marlie is a freshman at Auburn High School
- Riley is a eighth-grader at Auburn Middle School
- Rianna is a seventh-grader at Auburn Middle School
- Ihrey is a seventh-grader at Auburn Middle School
- Hialee is a fifth-grader at Calvert Elementary.
